Miscellaneous quotes from the day

“I love, in that hate kind of way, to hear people say, this is who I am. The idea that a person is powerless to make decisions about their life and their actions is so… amusing and sad.”

“Intentionally and seriously mocking my dear, sweet girlfriend falls under one of those things I consider Seriously Bad Ideas, like pulling on the tail of a skunk or pissing off the Religious Right.”

“Tell your boss to buy new hamsters for your computer”

“I’m on the phone with photoshop support. They have a program that comes with CS2, it’s called Adobe Bridge, and it’s essentially a file management tool. It doesn’t ‘thumbnail’ tiff files that I can see, so I’m hoping they can tell me otherwise.
and the answer is…. no. doesn’t thumbnail tiffs.
ugh. muzak version of macy gray.
morons!
WINDOWS thumbnails tiffs!”

Note: I since discovered that if you go through and resave every.single.tiff in CS2, you’ll have thumbnails. Teh suck.

“The most messed-up and confusing sensation I’ve ever had has been when my jumblies have fallen asleep. I mean, wow.”
“JUMBLIES”
“My icon seems to be saying, “Would you believe my jumblies are… say, this big?” “

  1. You could probably write a simple photoshop action that just opens and saves each file, then point it at the hierarchy of files, telling it to act on the originals, and let it go.

    • Oh I most certainly can, and ultimately I did create an action that
resaves. The problem is that these are very large files and this
directory changes frequently. Every week I’ll have to do this.

  2. Destroying people is fun!

  3. oh, and yes- I do believe your Jumblies are that big. I’ve seen them. THey are fucking HUGE! Like Sputnik
