“Always look on the bright side of life”

Okay, so the sun shining in my eyes when I’m trying to work at sunset sucks. On the other hand, the walls are entirely made of windows (well, nearly), I have a 5th-floor view of the entire city of Detroit (including a tiny peak at m’train station), aaaaand… other than walking to the car, I don’t have to spend a single moment out of conditioned air if I don’t want to.

  1. where you at?

Once upon a time, as a summer associate at Big Ass Law Firm & Associates, LLP, I had me a 34th-floor view of the Deee-troyt River off the top of the “B” tower at the Ren Cen. (Course, this was before the GM folks moved in and took everything over like the Borg). Sigh. Now, my office overlooks…..uh…..a suburban Indianapolis parking lot and construction zone. Whee.

    • *laugh* I am in the Crain building, directly off 75, just south of Eastern Market (by less than a block) and directly north of Ford Field/Comerica Park. Or 75 and south of Mack, if that’s easier. :)

  2. Don’t think of it as sun shining in your eyes… think of it as a rare workplace sunglasses opportunity.
