Wired says you can find a hacked version of the Mac OS for PC.
Now I want to download OSX86 and put it on my crap PC. Apparently, it actually runs more efficiently on a PC, for some reason. The key to this little gem is that it is native, not an emulation.
‘course, it’s also illegal, having been cobbled together from a developer version of OSX, designed to work with intel chips for the new macs. And we all know I do nothing illegal, particularly not for the thrill of doing something “neat”.
… what?
I definitely want it, too. I’ve been craving a mac and this would be just the gateway drug… um… software that I need. I could get to know it on a platform I already know.
I believe it’s illegal for the person who altered Apple’s software, but I’m not sure if it’s illegal for you to download and to run it. Of course, if you shared it with someone else, that would be illegal. Tell me, what laws do you suppose you would be breaking?
Oh, I seriously doubt it would be an excellent idea for me to speculate on exactly the laws I might be breaking, for if I did actually acquire and install it, I would then be saying that I knew exactly what I was doing.
So instead, I shall be a simpleton. :) You know, like everyone else…installing…complicated…operating system software…
D00d, if Apple had any brains at all, they’d do this themselves and sell it.
Agreed.
oh nummy. i want.
