Weekend Photos
I stopped at Meijer earlier in the evening and of course sought the wee Cheryl, who invited me to hang with her crew later on. I did so, and the evening was loud and highly entertaining. :) She also gave me a picture to scan from the first day we met, so I hope to get that up in short order. This picture was taken moments after she hopped through the back window of my truck to unlock the door. Because I’m an idiot. :)
The Gillespie wedding was definitely cool, and will stick with me for quite a long time (them longer, I hope! heh). Katrina offered this parting shot, which was the best out of the few pictures I took on my crap-ass digital. I shot ~ 9 rolls of film, including a 36-exp B/W for later enlargement by yours truly.
I haven’t gotten to talk about this wedding yet, because there are so many interesting moments, conversations, events, people… It was a blast from my past. I was honored by being asked to sit at the main table. I did a shot with Kat, Eric, and her father, Rex. I saw old friends we knew together. She is absolutely my very oldest friend, and I, hers. It is very much like seeing family you’ve moved away from – surreal. The most amusing “personal moment” I had was when I walked upstairs and onto the balcony to Duran Duran’s, “Ordinary World”. It was one of two songs I listened to all of the time as I would bike up to Haverhill to watch Katrina ride when she was 13. I’d recorded off the radio, onto a tape. :)
Also, of course, there was the lovely Southfield Crew (okay, how else can I refer to them?). We got together for a bit of a party, partly ’cause Adrienne wanted one, partly to celebrate Carrie’s non-death status, partly to wish Joe a happy birthday. :) I love those kinds of mix-and-match gatherings. :)
We did almost have to keep Carrie from ripping her boyfriend’s throat out during a game of Imaginiff, though. Her restraint kept me from kicking him in the shins. :)
You know that that’s not you in the dogpile picture, right dear?
*laugh* I don’t know why I wrote that instead of bill. obviously I took the picture.
