Changing service plans, at least until January

I was on 500 messages a month until January, but I decided it is likely that this month I might actually run over. I enjoy texting while at work, because I can’t spend all day talking on the phone. So I switched to the unlimited-verizon plan. Alas, I can only send/receive 50 non-verizon messages on the plan, but I’m not too worried about that – my 4 or 5 biggest texting culprits are all verizon. Ben isn’t, but that’s fine, he’s an ass. ;) Heh.

So, give it to me straight!

  1. It’s my wife’s phone, but I answered as if it were my own. She’s on a prepaid plan, with free inbound text messages. So, I sometimes send her a text message from the web, rather than leave a voicemail message which requires spending minutes to check.

  2. Aww heck, ! I’d’ve bugged the heck out of you, via text. :)

    • hehe…I’m not familiar with what my plan supports though!

      • I know with verizon, the text plan is completely separate from the phone plan. I have the unlimited verizon-to-verizon for five bucks. Why don’t you drop me an email, atdt1991 at gmail dot com, and I’ll bug you there, instead. :)

  3. I go with Virgin Mobil pay as you go. I don’t use my cell that often.. it’s mostly for emergencies and my tie between the school and myself if my daughter is having one of those days when I have to go get her. I know they offer texting.. I think it is free to recieve, but there is a cost to send.. but the prices are pretty reasonable.. at least I think so…

  4. Yes Sprint still exists…they bought Nextel, not the other way around.
