I need a Family Circus-style map for the complicated web of chores I must accomplish today

Today’s the first time in weeks I’ve had time to do anything around the ol’ household.

Now that i’m up, showering must occur. At least, after working out, and I can’t take -that- time until I’ve got laundry in the wash. Which requires quarters, which means I need to go out, which means (since I’m out) I need to stop at the office and pick up a package and tell them that not fixing the chain in my toilet for a week is completely unacceptable. Not saying a word to me about it is even worse. Cleaning up the place, while it is completely destroyed from halloween shenanigans, is a distant priority in this list, and I must get some sort of bread, since I haven’t had any at home in weeks. This isn’t a full list of things to be done, but a representative sample of the complicated web I must weave in order to get things done properly, today.

Oh, and most of my afternoon is likely going to be spent whipping up a web site for a client that can’t really afford us. *chuckle*

If I wanted a day off, I should have decided on another lifestyle, hm?

I’ll post pictures from the various parties and events I’ve been to over the past few days as soon as I get a chance to breathe. For now – I’m off!

EDIT: For those of you interested (and I’m sure that’s every last one of you), these days I’m reduced to using a hangar to flip up the rubber stopper in order to flush. Yes indeed, I’ve rejected all mechanical assistance regarding Ye Olde Water Closet, preferring the invigorating task of hauling porcelain to the gauche and menial method of levers and chains. It’s actually the rubber stopper’s loop that broke, or I’d whip up some McGuyver-esque rigging out of gum, dental floss, and sealing wax.

  1. haha your laundry routine sounds exactly like mine… on the days when there’s a laundry and a shower, I don’t want to shower until the laundry’s going (or done), which needs coins, which means going to the store for cashback, which means getting food, which means making a note of what I need for the home, usually after I clean up the whole place… but the best part is, the shower finishes it all off :)
