Cake!

I’m thinking of making cake, because it’d be a heck of a lot cheaper for 25 people than getting premade cakes… that said, I have a teeny kitchen and not too many implements, so… I dunno.

  1. That was a terribly cute poll.

  2. It’s not the size of your kitchen that matters, but how you use it.
Electric hand mixer, bowl, cake pan and an oven.. it’s not like you need that much else to make a cake-from-the-box recipe. And a good number of from-scratch recipes can be done the same way, tho you’ll likely want another smaller bowl for sifting together your dry ingrediant.. hey, that’s just the opinion of your humble narrator over here

If you’re making a buttercream frosting from scratch, and without an electric mixer, then that is the suck. (I’ve done it a few times myself).

  3. Duh. It’s your birthday! You shouldn’t have to make your own cake (unless you WANT to, that is)! Don’t tell me none of your friends know how to bake a delicious birthday cake.

Of course with that said I would volunteer if we weren’t going to be driving down with a full car.

    *hugs*

  4. My cream cheese icing isn’t the best in the world, but it’s not bad either. I mix one block of cream cheese to half a pound of confectioner’s (powdered) sugar, capfull of vanilla and a little water at a time, as needed. By a little water, I mean in tablespoon increments.

  5. I can make a cake and bring it if you like. If we each make a cake, that should cover everyone, I would imagine. Message me with a flavor selection and I’ll provide.
