Listening to the first Music Exchange CD
Colleen gave me some extremely discordant music. Of course, I like weird shit. We’ve got a few remixes and a few classics (War! Hu!). So far, I’ve particularly enjoyed As Cool As I Am (Dar, I know there are some big fans of her on my flist), Hufpukar, and whoa! That must be Seth’s band or former band, Phaeton. *listens* I can dig it.
Son of a Preacher Man always makes me think of Feelin’ Love, which is an odd little juxtaposition. And of course I can’t hear Pat Benatar without thinking of rockin’ out in the pouring rain with some awesome girls at The Knob, having to break off the “deadly weapon” at the tip of my umbrella, girls whose midsections remained “mysteriously dry”, and of course the mighty barrel-roll down the hill by K.T. and Colleen. :) What was the answer we got from those crazy people with a few too few teeth about what movie Love is a Battlefield came from, Colleen/K.T./Jessie?
At over a hundred songs, it is going to take me a few days to listen to it all, even in a cursory way. I love it! :D
or be mean
I’ll make the most of it
I’m an extraordinary machine
Discordant music, eh?
Check out a song called “coro” on the Appleseed soundtrack- should be able to dig it up on Limewire or iTunes.
:)
I’ll have to look for it.
and thanks for the subtle correction. *grins* wrong root word.

To be honest, I didn’t even notice.
And when you say “Son of a Preacher Man”
I think Collide.
I am glad that you are finding at least some of it enjoyable. I could have made you another one, actually thought about it but decided I’d let my musical taste scare you little by little…
No, I definitely think it’s great – I’d rather get new stuff I’ve never heard of and might have to get used to than things I already know!
I think it was “Invincible” and it debuted with The Legend of Billie Jean.
I just remembered that it was somethign with Christian Slater, and I did some research from there. I’m such a geek. I’ve never actually seen the movie, but I remember now that Jen and Charlie love watching it together. Some kind of sibling thing.
