I found out today that no official Verizon store can hope to match their online pricing. Not even close.

Also, that if you order online through their website, you get the instant rebate instead of having to mail it in.

What this means is that I’ve ordered my phone through the site, because I was sick of dealing with it, and my New Every 2 eligibility began today.

Next steps will be to buy a cable, perhaps even a larger battery, and reprogram it to let me send pictures through an alternate server, as well as other fun but probably naughty things. Though I’m sticking with their service, I’ve come to see verizon as a very, very naughty corporate entity that does everything they can to nickel-and-dime their customer, including crippling the hardware they sell, actually removing functionality that the manufacturer intended it to have (and advertises it to have).

Thusly, I will be re-enabling it. :D *does a geek dance*

I was on the phone with them for 45 minutes today, just because I wanted to change two aspects of my plan. The first aspect (the minutes) won’t change until the 19th, IE my next billing period. once she changed that, she was completely unable to deal with my text minutes, so she left a note for herself to call me back at that time. *sigh*

Simple. I know exactly what I want. I WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY. GIVE ME WHAT I NEED.

  1. if you elect to pull the images of your camera, and post them yourself, let me know before you decide to buy the data cable. T-mobile is selling the data cable for mine for about $40 (with software). I can get the sotfware free, and I found a site that sells the cable for $7.

(I’m electing to NOT upload any more of my pics to their website, and will just pull them off my phone myself.)
