Book lost! *pine*
Ever lose a book while you’re in the middle of reading it? For the first time?
Nothing makes me pine so much as losing something before I’m finished with it. I mean, that makes sense, right? Even so, I can put away a book or game without completing it, if it isn’t holding my attention, without batting an eye. But if I lose said book, it drives me nuts.
The same thing goes with my cellphone. It isn’t that I can’t be without my phone – but it has to be my plan. Sometimes I’ll leave it in the car when I go dancing (though it’s so small, there’s little need, these days). But if I forget it at home for an entire day, I’m all atwitter.
Edit: Yarrrr! Trase was working on my computer in good ol’ corptown last friday, and apparently left treasure in my metal jones candy container (otherwise empty). a metal “O” from my magnet set, and a tiny post-it with a pirate saying “yarr!” while traversing the “poop deck”, “dead man’s lobby”, “galley of dooooom”, “ye olde magazine rack”, and “the cubicles of Insanity”.
Perhaps, we should call my Jones candy container a locker, yes?

I should mention that, despite knowing it was empty, still I picked it up and shook it, in case there happened to be one candy left that I forgot… I heard the metal O, and investigated.

Oh, and yes, I have lost a book. It was a mystery-thriller and I forgot it in a hospital bathroom while there for a CATscan and they made me go and remove all my piercings beforehand. I set the book on top of the towel dispenser and forgot it. :( I was in the middle of the climax in the last chapter, too! I had to go buy a new copy that night to finish it. Bugger.

Do you have your cell on you today? I tried to send something to you and Lucy both an hour or so ago, but my phone doesn’t show it as received. Do you guys have plans for Thursday night?

I *just* got the text now.. my phone doesn’t work in my lab, so I have to run to an exterior door to get texts or calls.
Would we be back by 10?

I am going to an interpreted play at 9 in Royal Oak called “Dinner with Friends”. Tickets are ~$15. Not sure how long it is. Sounded pretty interesting, wanted to know if you guys could make it too, maybe grab a bite to eat beforehand – as long as I’m not called in to work at the last minute.

Fair enough – sounds like Lucy had a time conflict anyway for the show. If you guys want to come over to my place – I have a Digorno (sp?) 4 Cheese pizza you can doctor up and we can devour. I have to go to the show to get my hours in, but we can hang at my place cheaply beforehand.
