COVET: bluetooth virtual keyboard
Bluetooth Laser Virtual Keyboard
Lasers? And Virtuals? And Bluetooth?
Only problem is, where do you stick it? Hmm, how about your own chest?

Wow. I want. Now.
It’d go perfectly with my new iMac. ;)

I’m still waiting (and waiting) for the Optiums keyboard.

I like the fact that it’s red…I hate light pollution. :P Really though, it’s not nearly as hard on one’s eyes as plain white(ish) light is.

I myself am technolusting after that gadget… especially with my existing case of technolust over the Origami computers.
Tactile keyboards? We don’t need no stinkin’ tactile keyboards!
— Steve is considering shaving about $50 USD off and getting the Stowaway physical model… but the VDK does tempt, the little vamp.

And I thought it was amusing when people typed notes to themselves in my chat window. I shouldn’t tell him about this, or he’ll be taking notes on me…
wait, maybe that’s a good idea. hmmmm
“Oh wait, can you type that again? I think the J is stuck, try pressing it thirty more times.”

So, the key I’m trying to press will actually appear somewhere on the back of my hand? Gets my vote for cool, but unusable.
I imagine it won’t sell very well if it is unusable.
*eye roll* If only that were true. Coolness and other features (like Bluetooth) go so far toward selling gadgets. Many mobile phones get terrible marks for their keypad layouts or menu function access, but they still sell like hotcakes.
Don’t remind me of my own troubles with the RAZR.
Still, The sort of trouble we’re talking about here is literally the -very- first thing that comes to mind with this device. I’ve not been disappointed yet by any of my thinkgeek purchases – they seem like folks who try the gadgets out before they sell them. Maybe I’ve fallen for their marketing, but I’d be reasonably confident of it doing what it advertised. No, I don’t intend to find out, in this instance. :)

Damn, makes me wanna go out and get a PDA. That would be sadly humorous though, if you tried to type on the keyboard and it projected onto the back of your hand lol. I wonder how they get past that quirk.
They remind you that it’s Bluetooth, new, and very, very cool.
