A dream, it’s true, but I’ll see it through
Don’t want to be a writer with my thoughts out on the page
Don’t want to be a painter cause everyone comes to look
Don’t want to be anything where my life’s an open book
A dream, it’s true
But I’ll see it through
If I could be
Wasting my time with you
Don’t want to be a farmer working in the sun
Don’t want to be an outlaw always on the run
Don’t want to be a climber reaching for the top
Don’t want to be anything where I don’t know when to stop
A dream its true
But I’ll see it through
If I could be
Wasting my time with you
So if I’m inside your head
Don’t believe what you might have read
Youll see what I might have said
To hear it
Come waste your time with me (x2)
So if I’m inside your head
Don’t believe what you might have read
You’ll see what I might have said
To hear it
Come waste your time with me (x5)
I really love this song. It’s originally by Phish, but I’m listening to the Dave Matthews cover.
Of course, my personal beliefs are a bit different – clearly, I don’t at all mind my life being an open book. However, the feeling there, the statement from a musician that he’d give up his art, despite the rumors… it’s quite sweet.
Who is this girl, anyway, Yoko Ono?
Okay, so the packing is… well, I’ve made progress, okay? *chuckle* But I’m still behind. The entire kitchen still needs to be done, and I really need to start a load or three of laundry. I’m easily distracted, clearly.
Still, I’m right on task for the painting tomorrow with Colleen. This’ll be fun! I’d best see if I have some pants and a shirt I don’t mind mussin’.
Tomorrow night will be my last night here in Ann Arbor.
Minus sleepovers, of course. :D
i went through a big phish phase that has since waned, but this remains one of five tracks i still possess.
Wow, that’s so… the opposite of my philosophy. It’s a sweet sentiment, and yet I don’t have it and wouldn’t want it from anyone.
