A peculiar life, of late

Not to be confused with a peculiaire life. I saw her and c0nsumer the other day when we went for some lovelyspicyhot indian food at Ashoka, and then coffee across the street. I had some mint chocolate espresso thing, and coffee generally isn’t my style but it went down just fine. Must be my ‘exposure’ to coffee through my frequent iced vanilla capps in the morning ;).

Beforehand, I spent that time with Apple I’d been talking about earlier. They’re cool people. Perhaps too cool for me. No, seriously. I can often dress myself without too much incident, and I seem to have gathered a fine bunch of friends who enjoy my personality, but the head dude had a way of making me feel frumpy. Thank goodness I shaved my head. Especially since I’ve seen video of jadesfire55‘s concert, in which I can see my lovely bald-spot even when they zoom out all the way. Guess I’d best be more diligent about keeping the old pate shorn!

Yesterday, K.T., Adrienne, Carrie, Jason, Jen, Joe, and a number of K.T.’s friends from school/deaf culture came out of the woodwork at John Cowley’s. We were there to see That 80’s Band, but the lead was sick so instead the states only U2 Cover Band was up. They were pretty cool, but as the night wore on you could tell that he just couldn’t maintain that voice. … but we were really there to give Carrie her yule present, an impressively Mini-Monolith-like black DS and the game Brain Age! She hopped about and squealed appreciatively, and that made it all worthwhile.

Ben and I have been having retarded issues with a few technical video things lately… and when I say that word, I mean we are showing signs of retardation. So don’t make fun of the mentally ill, because it may be us you’re making fun of. Bull-headed perseverance has seen us through. The workers fixing up his place’s bathroom are largely incompetent, so after this weekend he’ll probably be back for more work on this Great Project of ours.
