  1. that would be my guess!

  2. TIME OUT FOR A TRUE STORY:

When I was 17, I quasi-sort-of-dated this pothead who was a grade behind me. We would have long, weird conversations on the phone at night. Sometimes, they involved playing THAT SONG in the background and singing it loudly to one another through the receiver.

    WHATEVA.

    • I’ve … never heard that song until yesterday.

      • “United States of Whatever” is a comedy song written by Liam Lynch for his 2003 album Fake Songs. It was the only single released from that album. The song made its debut on Lynch’s MTV comedy show Sifl and Olly in 1999.

Which is where we knew it from. Sock puppets!

        • I knew it because they played it on the radio – Marc has officially asked me to STOP putting it on mix CDs for him because (a) he doesn’t like it THAT much and (b) it’s on at least 3 CDs I’ve given him.

I love boston. I love that we have bizarre music on the radio. Sifl and Olly are great shit, too. At least 2 of my ex’s have every episode on tape or downloaded.

      • That really surprises me.

  3. it hurts my brain to think that that video has almost 3/4 of a million views.

    • It makes me want to get a camcorder and vlog, but some of the comments get really nasty, and I have low self-esteem. XD
