I find it terribly amusing that today’s word of the day is phlegmatic.

I’ve been sick since Thursday night, to varying degrees. Of course it hasn’t stopped me from traveling, socializing, or cuddling. I think last night’s full 8 hours of sleep served me well, and I think I’m on a slow upswing.

I went to the Habibi dancing annual extravaganza with blue_lucy, where ari_moonchild and Molly performed along with various troups. I was impressed with the wide variety of dances and costumes – they covered 8 or 10 ethnicities in one segment. I really enjoyed the scottish girls + bellydancing girls combination. And the solo girl with the scarf on a wire, she had some awesome personality – that look of confidence, mystery, flirtation and joy is just what I love to see.

We spent Sunday doing errands, prepping for Penguicon, fooling about and napping. Nothing important, but everything important. I enjoy my girl’s company. :)

I haven’t gotten around to posting my NYC photos yet, but I’m going to try to do them at lunch (along with my expenses).

  1. Glad you’re feeling better. I wanted to check on you and Lucy today once my phone was charged again. I had a dream last night that had both of you in it that I only remembered as I got to work this morning. I’ve forgotten all but the feeling of it now, but I’m glad you guys are ok.

We’ve still yet to clean Minion’s car, finish the darn flyer, do the “fresh” shopping (because a lot of our stuff doesn’t store well for prolonged periods…like fish, shrimp, veggies), pack the food up (need to clean his cooler out), do all the food prep/test prep needed prior to getting there, make sure all our utensils are clean and pack those…
    …that and we need to confirm our AV equipment list and pack that.

    Excited but also freaking out. So much thrown out of whack over this. What the heck did I get into!? This is my first time at THIS convention!
