Well well!
My plans are confirmed: I’ll be staying at the Portofino Inn in Redondo Beach, CA (near L.A.) from June 20th to the 22nd. Apparently I get a marina view, and for the first time, a free upgrade to first class for the flight there. Yay for hip room! :D
If there’s anyone in the area who’d like to meet up, I’ll have most of the 20th free, and probably a fair part of the 21st, as well. This came up pretty fast, but that happens with work events. The cost for these things would be beyond the pale if I were paying my own way. Each trip so far has been an opportunity to see things I haven’t seen, to meet friends long absent, and a chance at a change in perspective. That’s well worth slogging around gear and editing from the hotel.
I’m flying directly into Cleveland afterward so’s I can look dapper for Lucy’s friend’s wedding.
