There was a teensy bit of brain breakage.
So, I’m leaving the gas station yesterday afternoon, and I pass by a lady wearing a white T-shirt with Stevie Wonder on the front. Not, “Steve Wonder, Concert of 1984”, but a big square picture, like “I believe in Stevie Wonder and made this shirt all by myself.”
My first (crass) thought was, “Dude, he’s not getting any blinder.”
(it must be blinder. It’s no fun if it’s “more blind”. Leave me be! :D)

Gen Y hipster irony, or aging boomer genuality?
(is that a word? maybe genuineness?)
Older african-american woman, I would seriously presume the latter.
Gotcha. That’s actually basically whom I was picturing, but I didn’t want to assume anything.
I worked for a summer in high school at a mall kiosk making mugs, t-shirts, and mouse pads. People would get the weirdest stuff put on sometimes…..
so you reckon she’s wearing the shirt for stevie wonder’s amusement rather than her own?
Hmm… how would he know?
By the feel, silly – that’s why it’s for his amusement!
my point exactly!
speaking of music, many parts of the new Avril Lavigne song “Girlfriend” reminds me of YOU and certain outlet-cover-stealing SOMEONES. i make no apology, although i must be clear that:
a) this statement does not apply to the bluelucy
b) the part about then becoming your girlfriend is inaccurate
c) i do not like any other Avril song
I had to look it up, of course. Thank google!
“She’s like so whatever”
Mostly it is the “Hey, you! I don’t like your girlfriend! I think you need a new one.”
