I’m having a hard time finding the reviews of H.P. V in my flist that I saw (and skipped) so readily last week, oh well.

The only (fairly) non-spoilery comment I wanted to make was that I was surprised to find myself touched by the scene where they’re practicing the Patronus spell. I’m still not entirely sure why. Was it that the “skill-upgrade montage” effect? Was it the music? Was it the extremely personal nature of each animal? That bunny was pretty joyfully hopping, I must admit. Not that I can imagine a hop one might call “mopey” that isn’t performed in a goth club.

  1. … and I read your first line there, and think “why is he reviewing human papilloma virus?” ;)

  2. I loved when Neville made progress in the DA scenes. When I saw it the first time (yeah- I’m already on multiple viewings….) people in the theatre actually clapped joyfully for him. It was so gleeful!

    • You know that part where the thing has that thing happen to it? I said yes! aloud… alas, I was the only one. Heh.

      • there was a lot of cheering and supportive comments. one line Harry says to Umbridge towards the end met with great applause abd support from the audience. So did one of Sirius’s last lines.

I’m full of theories now. I think Harry is totally the heir of Gryffindor, thus something that belongs to Griffindor, and a horcrux. Just the way one of the ministry scenes was done totally made me revisit that old theory.

        • Ummmmm…. The movies are dumbed down versions of the book. How are you creating theories from the movies, when they lack so much of the detail?

And on your theories. AS far as the “heir of Gryffindor”, other than the sword in book 2, what else gives you that thought? Not arguing against it, just wondering.

AS far as the Horcrux, I say… well…. duh. And that particular Horcrux was used in book 4, when big-bad-V was brought back in order to kill, oh-so-annoying cedric.

I’m just looking forwarded to seeing Sirius black again in book 7 on Saturday.

          :)
