Exposed Gear (“Skeleton”) Pocket Watch

Exposed Gear Pocket Watch

Also, this one is pretty awesome. This one is particularly cool, one of my favorites I’ve seen so far. It has really excellent contrast.

I’d really like to create a steampunk outfit, which would be a DIY affair where I’d have to find a wonderful and talented seamstress who would create wonders for me :) Alex and I are talking about getting all dressed up steampunk-like and hitting up Edison in L.A. someday.

Thanks to plasmonicgrid for pointing out these excellent watches!

  1. I too would love a steampunk outfit. I’m picturing a leather duster with gold embroidery on the lapels and cuffs; and goggles of course.

    • I’m not sure what my exact style would be – I’d definitely be going for silver as opposed to gold, m’self.

      • Not gold so much as bronze or brass i suppose.

I’d also have a pocketwatch (naturally), knee-high leather boots, engineer’s gloves, perhaps a holster and pistol but at least something hanging off my belt or a shoulder strap, and top it all off with a comically oversized wrench

  2. Someone got me one of those several years ago. It doesn’t have a click-open face, it’s always open. It’s a nice pocketwatch. :)
