I imagine Mr. Scalzi has a really great family life.
This is so cool. It’s the pictures and the captions, see.
My day got better just looking at it. Also, imagining the sound of maniacal laughter, that helped too. Mmm, and pie.

OMG. I need to make that.
Oooh Monkee!!!
the thought of that pie makes my teeth hurt
The comments were funny, too. My favorite:
“If you can come up with a Schadenfreude cake I could serve it to my mother-in-law for her next birthday, and be eternally grateful. I’d imagine that such a cake would involve black icing, which I’ve already perfected whilst making a Darth Vader cake one year.
All the kids’ mouths turned purple, and stayed that way for about a week. It was awesome.”
Schadenfreude pie for dessert on Friday? Whaddaya think? *g*
Would kill Nick, but I’m game.
Believe it or not, I had never heard the word before. How is it pronounced?
Envy envy
Gotta get a few of the ingredients, I think, but I’m all for making it! Thin slices, and I’ll make sure to have plenty of milk around!
Pronounced, approximately, sha-den-frowd. It’s German, and I think the original German pronounciation is slightly different, but that’s the Anglicized version. Means taking joy in someone else’s pain – like laughing at poor little Paris Hilton having to spend a few weeks in jail.
Ha, that’s great.
I once bested Scalzi at karaoke.
I am not surprised – you’ve shown us your karaoke skillzorz, and they’re a sight better than 3% great.
