I miss Beyond 2000.
If G4 was going to pull in old TV shows, they should have grabbed that. I’d rather see what 1989 thought was futuristic than watch yet another episode of COPS.

Who the hell did the research on that, anyway? Just because COPS might have the demographics of “young white male” doesn’t mean it reaches out to “young white male professional geeks”. Does anyone watch it and go, “Man, just like Grand Theft Auto, except deadly serious … and really, really sad?”
Most Dangerous Crashes? Sure, who doesn’t like explosions. Cheaters? Well, it’s fucking annoying, but the use night vision (or fake it), so at least it’s vaguely geeky.
Someone get me into that programming booth, I think some peeps need a stern talking-to.
I whole-heartedly agree. Something has gone wrong with not only G4, but Sci-Fi as well. ECW on the Sci-Fi channel? Ok, so it’s got the fiction portion of it, but seriously, what’s going on with these two stations? “Well, we couldn’t get anything Good, Original, and Brings In Viewers that’s in our genre, so we’ll just put some stuff on that brings in viewers.
Wait. What?
Are you serious about Cops on G4?
Seriously?
They axed all the shows I loved on TechTV or made them into bastard stepchildren (though I’m sure AotS is better NOW). How about Call for Help? How about giving Kevin Rose free rein on a show?
Serious, and AotS is enjoyable at times, though sometimes the humor is way too groan-worthy for me to enjoy. A number of the actors actually sound like they know what they’re talking about (a few don’t, and I don’t think it has anything to do with the writing).
Never heard of Call for Help.
AotS is terrible most of the time. I’ve never made it through an entire show. It needs a serious injection of “good writing.”
