The why-is-its of a video editor, photographer, designer, convention-runner.
Livejournal now finally comes up with a log-in screen instead of an error screen if you try to view a protected entry while not logged in, and then automatically redirects you to the appropriate entry. What’s it been, six years?
When I first noticed that, I do believe my eyes widened, and I whooped.
Next: When clicking through someone’s LJ using “previous entry” and “next entry,” and coming to a post that I’m not filtered into, I don’t want to see that I’m not authorized to view it (then have to go back to their calendar view to navigate), I just want to see the next post I’m filtered into, instead.
That’s an excellent idea. Besides, entries you aren’t privy to shouldn’t show up on the calendar at all (if you aren’t logged in, it should be public posts only).
I’ve talked to many a person who has gotten grief from their S.O. because they don’t have access to a post they snooped at through their calendar.

It is a major security loophole.
I’ve been snooped on…fortunately I am no longer associating with the snooper.
Re. “next” – me too. So annoying.
