I am ultra-uber-mega-geeked

Lucy plans on buying train tickets for my 30th birthday adventure, SkennCon (hehe), on Friday at some point. She says she’d like a check to Lucy Benson or cash for $59 by December 13th, though she’ll be flexible if necessary.

It looks like we’ll be staying at the Wyndham in Chicago, 2 rooms at this point (may change).

People coming as of now (besides yours truly):

netmouse
flinx

After Friday, anyone is more than welcome to join us, but you’ll have to pick up your own train ticket! :)

  1. There is a good chance I’ll be joining your for at least part of it, though spending part of the weekend visiting my family as well. I won’t need a train ticket, just wanted to let you know I’ll try to participate! (:

  2. I wish I could!

  3. Okay, I’ll go. And may I suggest Reza’s for a meal, if we have time? :)

    • Cool! Tell me about Reza’s.

      • It’s really kewl! They even have a website!

Really, it’s so very tasty. I make my friend Don take me every time I visit him in Chick-uh-go. Persian, Mediterranean, Vegetarian, Seafood. It’s all so amazing.

I was introduced by my pediatrician’s family. (They were friends with my family when we were growing up.) My pediatrician is persian, and whenever they had a party, it was catered by Reza’s. All the way in Ypsi from Chick-uh-go. Seriously.

        • Brendan, we *seriously* need to drag you to M. Henry. Also, if you ever come down again, you have to let me buy you (or anyone) dinner there; I am learning Farsi, and really, really need to work on my accent.

Also: Scott, might I offer the use of my guest room if anyone wants to come without paying for hotel room or courting couchsurfer’s spine? I promise, the facilities have been upgraded considerably since Brendan visited.

          • *smiles* If necessary, I’m grateful for the offer, but part of the fun is staying up late together, and we’ve got something like 14 people going now.

Though that does bring up a good point – I’d be delighted if you could/would join us!

          • I would be delighted! Thank you!
