This foggy post brought to you by the heavily medicated Skennedy.

Ever since the big rain, I’ve been dealing with what seems suspiciously like intense allergies. itchy, watery eyes, stuffed AND runny nose (my absolute favorite combination), uncontrolled sneezing.

I went to bed at 9:30 last night (9:30! Me!), and in the morning I took my multivitamins, Drixoral, Mucinex DM and an advil. So as you might imagine, right now the whole world is just a touch numb.

I brought me a cherry coke for lunch, though, so that’ll be nice to crack open. Oh! And I just remembered I have water in the fridge here! I’m all about that.

Anyway, I’ve shot 4 videos this week, and have completed two with a third expected finished today (and the 4th, tomorrow). I could shoot as many as SEVEN in the three days following. It’s just going to be… effin’ crazy.

Also, I should warn those of you that have considered growing a ‘stache … blowing your nose is no fun.

I just want to rub my hand absent-mindedly over my hair over and over again… which is generally a sign that I’m either exhausted or high.

  1. I dunno… I find rubbing my hand absent-mindedly over your hair generally relaxing…

    • Heh, true. :) But the sensation keeps me awake.

The other thing I do, when I am so exhausted my body doesn’t know what to do, is rub my hands vigorously against my thighs. Works better when wearing pants.

      :D

  2. You probably don’t have allergies. It seems like everyone’s got it. I’m hating the plugged/runny combo, myself. Sleeping is difficult and so far no meds are really doing much to keep the pressure at bay.

    • Mucinex has done well for loosening congestion, and the drixoral did a lot for the itchy eyes and runny nose. I spent a good 10 minutes at the pharmacy, figuring out what combination I thought would work best.

I had other choices, but Drixoral’s 12 hour antihistamine seemed a much better bet than the 4 hours of tylenol.

      • Thanks so much for the tip! i’ll go get some at lunch today. I’ve got Tylenol Cold Multi-symptom, but it is simply not doing the trick. Hope we all get well soon!

  3. Feel better soon! You might try Zicam, in case it’s a cold, instead of allergies.

  4. Yeah, the stuffed ‘n’ snotty seems to be going around. Just be glad you CAN take decongestants. My nasal system gets so screwed up during(… Rest of comment deleted due to TMI)

  5. I thought I said no Sick?!

I can see that it didn’t listen very well. :(

  6. To see if it’s allergies try benadryl. If you want to go the cheap route, pick up an off-brand or pick up off-brand sleeping pills. Just make sure they have Diphenhydramine as the active ingredient. Benadryl has 25 mg per pill. Most cheap sleeping pills have 50.

You won’t OD on the stuff if you take 100 mg, but I’m sure you’ll sleep a lot. (And if you OD, you won’t die, but you won’t do it again.)

I did a lot of research last time I had poison ivy. :)
