I’ve had my phone for six months and only NOW have I realized I can email ringtones to myself, quick as spit.

First step – sending my old ringtones to my phone. Next step (to be performed tonight) – make new ones! muhahaha… I wonder if I can find anything from the skenncon videos.

  1. dude, really? I need to tell people about that more – I’ve been doing it since two phones ago!

Andy’s ringtone is the Dr Who theme, I have a few TMBG ringtone songs (songs they wrote to be ringtones), some Colbert quotes….

When I told about this, I believe his response was that he wanted the Law & Order noise to be his txt msg alert noise.

    • With my RAZR, I just bought the cable. I made all sorts of ringtones for myself and sent them that way, but it seemed at that point like verizon was laying the smack down.

However, when I went in to get the body of my eNV replaced under warranty, I got to talking with the guy who was updating it, and he said I could take music from the microSD slot, send it to myself, and then save it as a ringtone. I got to thinking, “if I can do it that way, I wonder if I can just plain email it from gmail”. Blammo.

So now I’ve got a number of my old ringtones on it.
“Head over Heels” (tears for fears)
“Kiss them for me” (siouxsie and the banshees)
“Beat the drum” (great big sea)
      “Imperial March”
      “Clubbed2Death” (matrix soundtrack)

It’s been a few years, so I could probably find a few songs I identify with (and identify others with) more now.

    • TMBG ringtone songs?

  2. what about bluetooth? can you do it that way? bluetooth pwns
