CSL
She’s promising her friend that she’ll “check out that MySpace thing”. It sounds like she wants to use it for dating. Run fast, people.
“Dad didn’t beat us as babies — when we were little. It was when we were older that he got more violent.”
“’cause I know you have to be careful when you come from a long line of alcoholics. I wasn’t a cheap date, it took 3 or 4 drinks to even get a buzz.”

*happily oblivious*
CSL – Crazy Secretary Lady. I haven’t talked about her much lately, but her face is at a 45 degree angle from my monitor, we have half-height walls, and she talks about the most ultrapersonal things next to me.

Promise me that you’ll let me know what her myspace username is, if you happen to hear it. (Don’t let on that you know.) I’ve GOT to see what she does there.

I know she’s driving you nuts, but I kind of feel bad for her. Woman has some issues. Of course, this is from someone who doesn’t have to listen to her issues every single day :)
I feel bad for her too. I just don’t want to know, is all.

Scott and I work for the same employer, and I work in the IT department. I do not feel badly for her at all. Of course, that could be in part due to the fact that she arrived here as a temp, declared that because her (now-ex) husband was an MCSE, she would by proxy have more knowledge than any IT department, and went around to all of the editorial PC’s in that publication and compressed the hard drives. This caused a COMPLETE FAILURE and she STILL tried to argue that she knew more than we do.
I just had to deal with her whining a few minutes ago and refused to coddle her, so she was pouting in our area as she dropped off a laptop.
Trust me, if you knew her, I don’t think pity would be your first inclination. ;)

Maybe I am going to hell for saying this, but perhaps CSL’s father not beating her until she grew into the habit of interminable chatter is not *quite* coincidental.
