Mmm, piratical maps!
io9.com posted a vector map of a sea of methane on the moon Titan that a guy named Peter Minton created.
Not only did I think it was totally awesome, but it immediately had me in mind of some british rogue flying his airship over the methane seas, know what I mean? I decided it could use some steampunky/piraty treatment.
So I altered it, and emailed the original creator, and he both loved it and gave me permission to post it all over the place. So, here you go! A map of ye olde Titan Sea:

damit! I feel totally and completely p0wnd! You made a more awesome map than I, in theory a map maker, would make based on a map that was made using a program (marplot) that is made by NOAA, who I work for, and I have never heard of the program before.

Oh my god, I want a poster-sized print of that to put on my wall. Seriously. I have a huge parchment-style map of the world on my wall right now and I want to put up other similar maps to match. This would be perfect.
Well, that’s the best quality I’ve got, as far as the internal map and parchment paper is concerned, but if you want me to make a higher-DPI version so the text remains clear, I’d be happy to do so.
I would never want to impose on you to do any extra work just for little ol’ me or nothin’. But if a higher-DPI version did suddenly make an appearance, I would certainly be pleased to see it.
