Does anyone use Del.icio.us for their bookmarking?

Or do you find something else more effective for your web-based bookmarking needs?

EDIT: nm, seems google supplies that, too.

  1. I used to a few years ago, then I stopped. It wasn’t very useful. I also rarely use bookmarks.

    • Your memory is significantly better than mine. ;)

At present, I’m using bookmarks to keep track of potential components for my raygun. LEDs, cellphone motors, EL wire… it’ll be such fun, if I can wrap my mind around the necessary electronics.

It’s not my bailiwick, for sure.

  2. I do, because I do most of my web-surfing at work (naughty, I know) but then often want to refer back to it at home, especially things like recipes or craftsy how-tos.

I have kind of a… not love-hate, but slightly more than ambivalent feeling about the interface. On the one hand, the absolute pared-down-ness of it is nice. On the other, I like slick and pretty, and kind of miss it with delicious. What can I say? I’m from the “Blue cars are always better” school of thought ;)

I admit, though, that I don’t really take advantage of it like I probably could. As with many things, I ain’t zackly what you’d call a power user.

  3. I use the foxmarks plugin for firefox.
Not only does it make my bookmarks web accessible at the foxmarks website but it also sync all of my bookmarks across all of my computers, as long as I have the plugin installed.

  4. I use del.icio.us for something along the lines of what you’re describing below. I save links for story ideas at work, and have a particular tag for police/fire/news websites I load every day. I don’t think it would be good for anything more intense, but it’s a great way to dump links and have them publicly accessible anywhere.

  5. I use it for my fandom stuff — it makes it easy to share fics with other dorks.

  6. I use Google Bookmarks (with a menu plugin add-in for Firefox) and StumbleUpon.

  7. i personally like blinklist.com
