Check out this video about a new web interface (concept).

“Aurora is a concept video exploring one possible future user experience for the Web, created by Adaptive Path as part of the Mozilla Labs concept series. For more, visit adaptivepath.com/aurora”

I kind of dig it. I wouldn’t say it’s entirely intuitive, but it looks very useful once you get the hang of it.

  1. that is spiffy! I do have to agree that it would take some getting use to though.

  2. What a god damn nightmare.

Amorphous blobs, obscured windows that move without systemic path, no ability for muscle memory, data strewn all over the outer edges of the screen without grouping, an input device that requires you to hold your hand above your shoulder constantly, contextual menus that have no indication of their function, ug. It’s like all of the byproduct problems of OS X given center stage and cranked to 11.

  3. A lot of those ideas aren’t new and are not in current use because they’re problematic. That concept video promises a lot of things we can’t deliver for years, and what it does have – that physical interface – has serious usability problems.

  4. Wtf! It posted that comment anonymously. All of a sudden I’m logged in now though?
