Cool things about Chrome so far:
A) It is lightning frickin’ fast. Who knew that so much time was being spent waiting for javascript to load?
B) You can create icons on your desktop for frequently used web applications. I haven’t tried it yet, but that means you can easily put gmail in your start menu. Not that you couldn’t do that by making shortcuts to web sites, but this looks simple.
C) The intro tab page is pretty cool, with thumbnails of your six most frequently visited web sites.
D) in the “omnibar”, the domain name of the site you’re on is in black, and the rest (the http:// and the /update.bml , presently) is gray. When you type things into the address bar, its predictive text is based on the domains you’ve been to before, meaning if I type in “live” and hit enter it’ll go to LJ and not to LJ/update.bml or some other random page I was at once.
E) Ctrl tab and Ctrl T still work like in firefox, thank goodness. Man, this is fast.
Fun.
Ooh, something maybe unrelated – did you notice on the LJ update page that you can change the size of the text box? I see a grey set of dots in the lower right and I can resize to my pleasure.

*drools* eeee! It looks so awesome.
And I am giggling at the “search google for google” phrase.
You are tempting me to try it for myself…
Faaaaaaaaaaast like whoah!
whoah is steampunk awesomness of you icon! more spunk pics somewhere?!
Dragon*Contrip report forthcoming, much steamy goodness to be held within.
Innit tho?
Time to play with geek toys.
I like the speediness and simplicity, but I just seriously cannot live without mouse gestures, a holdover from using Opera. I refused to use Firefox until I knew there was a mouse gestures addon for it.
But you’re right, it is fast like crazy!
So this is a new browser? I haven’t heard of it.
Do all messages of new technology go through you first? Heh.
It came out today.
Think about who I work for. I’m the last to know anything new at work… you’d think people would try and keep that from happening in my home life. ;)
It is lovely!!!! Since I have been writing on Google Docs since my laptop screen cracked, I have found the performance of my old browsers to be lacking. This if beautiful…not to mention FAAAAAAST!!! I love it!
It’s been really surreal seeing people freak out over things I’ve had on my browsers for at least a year.
You’ve been using a browser with a different Javascript VM?
Haha, well actually, I think the webkit betas might be using a new JVM, but I meant to say except for the speed stuff, but I forgot and hit post anyway.
Excepting for that EULA snafu, this shit seems to be kosher.
I have read that they were frantic to change the EULA, as that was not what they intended
