Pandora
It occurs to me that I’ve only got two people in my Pandora watch list, and I want to see more radio stations by my peeps. So, if you have any, leave me your name here. Mine is the same as always. :)

I created some Pandora stuff a while ago, but abandoned it for some reason. With my hard drive crash, I cannot access any of my music. While I’m in the office (like now) I started using Pandora again.
I think you can just find me as Danicia. :)
Rock on – yeah, I’ve been using Pandora at work, as well. Also, I’m a bit sick of the music on my hard drive, y’know?
Add’D!
Look for Toon Radio at a Pandora near you.

I think I’m the only deb in Detroit….

Cool.
Hope you enjoy, surf, motown/70s soul, bad 80s pop, rockabilly and big band
I’m on there now.. but it’s unlikely I have anything interesting that you don’t have going.
I’m on as:
“An array of plasmons”
defying convention, I am jkldiscard on there… because it won’t let you change your id or email as far as I can tell..heh
Ha! I had your old ID added, apparently.
HA! see… no wonder I couldn’t find you while searching for “jer”. Nerd.
I use lastfm where I am carollelogram. Tell me why I should use Pandora instead. I love the convince-me game.
“On January 6, 2000 a group of musicians and music-loving technologists came together with the idea of creating the most comprehensive analysis of music ever.
Together we set out to capture the essence of music at the most fundamental level. We ended up assembling literally hundreds of musical attributes or “genes” into a very large Music Genome. Taken together these genes capture the unique and magical musical identity of a song – everything from melody, harmony and rhythm, to instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, lyrics, and of course the rich world of singing and vocal harmony. It’s not about what a band looks like, or what genre they supposedly belong to, or about who buys their records – it’s about what each individual song sounds like.
Since we started back in 2000, we’ve carefully listened to the songs of tens of thousands of different artists – ranging from popular to obscure – and analyzed the musical qualities of each song one attribute at a time. This work continues each and every day as we endeavor to include all the great new stuff coming out of studios, clubs and garages around the world.
It has been quite an adventure, you could say a little crazy – but now that we’ve created this extraordinary collection of music analysis, we think we can help be your guide as you explore your favorite parts of the music universe. “
So, where does that leave us?
A) You put in music you like, artist or individual song, and it finds music that has similar properties. add more, add less, it works with it, finds common ground (lyrical complexity ftw!).
B) It’s SCIENCE!
That’s really it. There are “channels” if you want to go that way, but again they’re musical genome channels – if you want “80’s music” you’ll have to make your own and put up with music that isn’t from the 80’s but sounds like it is.
Or is that a perk?
Sheryl70
