Tiffin tins

Dang it.

I was hoping I could find these awesome tins (or similar) locally, but I haven’t been able to find them on any online sites, at least not listed under “tiffin”. :\

I think they’re awesome, and would like to start bringing my lunch in this way.

  1. The “Mr Bento” is the same idea, although not nearly as cool looking, but I can’t help you with getting -that- locally, either.

So basically, this comment was useless. :P

  2. Try an Indian grocery store, like Bombay Grocers on Packard.

  3. I think the BIG Asian market on Washtenaw in Ypsi might carry something like them. Other wise. Amazon. the word tiffin brought up a bunch of different styles.

  4. I just ordered these… http://www.thenaturalabode.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=13008 for the girls this morning. You can check them out when they come and maybe order the three level one if you like them.

  5. These are neat! The only issue I see is if you bring something you want to heat up. You’d need to tote a microwave safe plate along or eat cold food because of the whole metal + microwave = zzzzort! thing. :)

  6. do you have a cost plus/world market over there? they had similar stacked metal bento-style pieces (though round, and not pyramidal) last time i was in our local one..

  7. eBay had tons, last I looked, but that’s not local. Obvs.
