Batman: Arkham Asylum uses DRM to make Batman die in poison
To be honest, I’m pretty fond of this. If you download a cracked copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum (and the game detects it, of course), instead of being able to glide over rooftops with your cape, you will always fall into a sea of poison, below.
When someone posted to the forums about this “bug” in the PC version of the game (yet to be officially released), the developer response:
The problem you have encountered is a hook in the copy protection, to catch out people who try and download cracked versions of the game for free.
It’s not a bug in the game’s code, it’s a bug in your moral code.

Note: When reading this quickly, it looks like it “makes Batman die in prison”, which is definitely not true. HIlarious, conceptually, but not true.
Well, since Arkham Asylum itself is a prison, it kind of is true. Technically.
