Education copy of Windows 7
So, in about 2 days, my Release Candidate copy of Windows 7 will expire. And start shutting down every two hours.
That’s pretty hugely sucky.
Can one of you fine folk acquire for me an Education copy of Windows 7? Should only be 30 dollars, and I will pay you back immediately.
You can get them now for about $65 (the $30 tag ended the first part of Jan).
You can only get an UPGRADE for $30 or whatever dollars. I had install from scratch (dual boot mac) and I had to pay for the real deal. I was able to get an OEM copy for about $160.
I did a LOT of research on this when I was buying it back when Windows 7 came out. My guess is that it is the same now.
If I can help, I will. I got mine from a friend who works at Microsoft, but I’ve got the requisite .edu email address if that’s still what’s necessary.
64 bit? Which version? I think I have a code for all of them.
Ya 64-bit, which I read means anything except “Home Basic”. So, I would gratefully accept any version except that!
Sorry.
Only allowed one OS purchase per year.

Sorry bud I just checked it for a friend of mine, they even had the Pro edition on sale previously.

It is now a little over $60
Re: student price
No worries, I was able to get a copy! I spent pretty much all of yesterday painstakingly backing up my data and reinstalling.
