Alas, goodbye PhotoshopDisasters
I just unsubbed from PsD, and I’d like to share why.
His commentary on this photo:
When this image first presented itself in my inbox, I said to myself, well, I’m not going to touch that with a barge pole. Not the lady in the picture – I’m sure she’s a lovely lady with a wonderful personality. I’m talking about the political issue of the
chubbies sizeable big-boned unboneablepeople of size. They can be very sensitive. It’s important – perhaps expedient is the correct word – to just avoid the whole thing. On the other hand, I’ve now received this from about five hundred people and it’s actually gotten to the point where it’s impairing my ability to navigate my mail. So here it is, and if you are a person of heft, please try to understand that, like a moth to a flame, I just tend to follow the path of least resistance. Thanks to everyone who sent this in!**
First problem: She isn’t all that fat, what’s his problem here? Second problem: This isn’t a photoshop disaster at all – just a girl with a smaller head than usual.
And third, of course, is that I don’t need to read commentary about some jackass’s size issues. Yeah yeah, funny whatever – not worth 30 seconds of my day. Hey, I’m just following the path of least resistance.

Seriously, did someone fat attack him, once? The thing that bothered me most about it was that it was just so unnecessary. He went way off into left field in order to skewer fat people, which is made all the worse by essentially saying that this poor model must clearly be photoshopped all to hell, when that is her real body.
That girl is hot. I’d do her.
And I want to own the shirt.
Photoshop or not, disaster or not… (and I think it’s neither, I think it’s odd angle regarding her head)… sounds like Reitman’s did what they set out to do.
She’s cute.
He’s an asshole.
But it still feels like there’s something wrong with that photo.
It looks to me like a skinny girl has been photoshopped to look like a woman of a larger size. Look at her head and neck and upper arms. They simply does not match up with the rest of her body. Size issues aside, commenter dickery aside, It really is a photoshop disaster.
Look at the other link.
I don’t know. There is still something really wrong with that picture.
I agree, it looks exactly like what you described.
The lighting on her head/face versus her neck and hair is especially strange.
