Mmmm YUM!
After a brief power outtage (again), I abandoned playing Halo Co-Op with Ben in order to have dinner and conversation with Sarah Kate. A good choice, I’d say. :) We went to Shalimar in A2, and it was fan-freakin’-tastic. The waiter was awesome, we ate outside where the breeze was wonderful and it was warm with a lightly cool breeze, just as I like it. Aloo Prantha reminded me of Kat and how her family convinced/coerced me to eat indian for the first time. the curry chicken was great – in fact, it will be my lunch in a few minutes. The company was bar-none.
Definitely a good wednesday.
On another note, I’ve lost control of my summer schedule. This doesn’t mean someone else has it, more that I haven’t been keeping a planner, and I now have so many things going on, I have no idea what they are or whether I’ve quadruple-booked myself or what. I do know I’ll be in the Lansing area on Friday as a precursor to making the promotional video for CHUM (heh), and that I may be joining the beach crowd on Saturday, but I do work again on Sunday so I must get home.
Also, I’ve totally put off paying my bills. No one’s called complaining yet, but I don’t know why I do this when it’s so easy to just pay them electronically. At least I pay my rent on time every single month, so I have some vague sense of responsibility. It’s not even like I can’t afford my bills (hey, student loans haven’t come to kick my ass yet).
Except for one bill…. I’ve had a Chase card that I haven’t used for at least 5 years. It’s been at the same amount all this time because they ask me for money and I pay them, and it doesn’t MOVE. I think I need to consolidate it (and perhaps my loans, which are still on grace period), but the idea worries me. Any company that sends me student loan consolidation information in the mail should get THE CHAIR, because I CAN’T STAND how they can PRETEND TO BE OFFICIALLY REPRESENTING MY ACTUAL LOAN COMPANY. Isn’t this shit illegal? What the hell do we have laws for??
Okay… that was a random rant. Maybe I should actually do something here at work. The longer I’m here, the less I want to accomplish.
UGH…last month i forgot to pay my cellphone bill i recieved it it went in the litte “don’t forget” slot in our dining room but still i got a call yesterday ,,, Have to admit that is much better then begging for an extention so they shut off my power as i debate phone or lights…My wife was pissed but amused since we can pay double our bill no problem … They have free services to consolidate your loans mostly through state services so if you decide to go that route don’t pay for the service
Hehe. I feel your pain. Last month we actually got our phone turned off for a day because I forgot/put off paying the bill for 3 months…the sad part is that the money was there, I was just slacking.
In another note, if you find good info on consolidating student loans, could you let me know? I should probably think about doing it too.
