I Love Bees Podcast!

Since I’ve been waiting to see someone do it, and no one’s stepped up, it means it is my turn to contribute to the world of ILB.

NOTE: Did you know that you don’t need an iPod or MP3 player to listen to a podcast?

Now, many of us who experienced the I Love Bees ARG/”internet radio-play” have the audio on DVD or even on MP3, allowing us to listen whenever we want. This is over five hours of content, which is a little much for even the bravest beekeeper.

What I’d like to see is a week-by-week podcast, for these reasons:

A) Those who didn’t “experience the magic” can feel the suspense we had of waiting for the next week.
B) Those who don’t have hours and hours to spare can dig their ears in at a pace we can all cope with.
C) Commentary! Reactions! Phone calls!

Considering these things, I’m accepting advice! I’ve never done a podcast, but I’m familiar with audio applications and such. I know someone out there was offering the entire DVD in MP3 format – that might be useful for timesaving, where is that link?

ALSO! I am interested in volunteers for commentary! Commentary about the puzzles, about the phone calls for a particular week, about the story itself and how it made you feel or how much we were anticipating it, or how we heard it out of order and totally misunderstood it.

NOTE: You are under NO obligation for saying you’ll volunteer for commentary. I won’t make you feel guilty if you decide not to do so later, or you don’t ahve the time. This is a “love of the game” sort of thing.

This may take me a couple of weeks to put together, because I’d like to figure out a good way to record commentary by a number of people regarding specific weeks – maybe export from my audio speakers on Xbox Live to my laptop? If you have suggestions, please leave them below!

  1. That would be sweet! And if I remember correctly, all the files on ILB are mp3s. Just listed as wavs. I believe you can just change the extension and be fine.

I’d be more than willing to help with commentary or phone calls.

    • Awesome. What’ll really be a pain in the ass is trying to sort out what we knew, when, so we can keep the commentary from spoiling any surprises. :)

      • TheBruce has done an excellent job of trying to keep track of this with his “creepy” ILB stories. You ought to check those out. Maybe getting his help might even spur him to finish creepy faster ;)

        • I was just going to comment :)
Yeah I just put up a page that has all the audio files sorted and split by scene rather than week that can be downloaded (right now they’re on a daily rotation to save bandwidth). If you’re impatient to download them over a week lemme know and I can send them to you :)

        • oh yeah and I got the *wink*wink*nudge*nudge*saynomore*
          ;)
I’m still working on it, don’t worry… but then I always say that hehe
