Fun stuff
Today has been an interesting (and fun) day. Good morning time with the Lucy, and a nice lunch with good conversation. We stopped at the store my mom bought my shirts from (Casual Male XL), and I found myself in a completely unique situation – they were almost totally devoid of my size, because it’s the very very bottom of their sizing. That was … well, kinda fun, I guess :) I found a few sweet button-downs that make me look all ‘hot’ (so it is rumoured).
On our way back, my boss called with an incredibly crazy emergency. He’d been at the office for like 12 hours, trying to clean up a mess from our hosting company. I do like it when, for once, he’s calling me for advice on problem-solving instead of blame.
We went back out to Hillers, where we both picked up some quality healthy food. I ran with my meal idea, which involved a great jalapeno-lime bean dip and various cheeses and spices on tortillas, and I had a bowl of corn while she had lima beans. That’s probably the healthiest meal I’ve eaten since christmas.
Tomorrow begins my crazy Auto Show Days, so I’m sure to post about them. ALSO, I’m about 2 months into my annual “review” post (which is always fun, especially ’cause I tend to unlock those very few posts I locked in the first place), so I have that to look forward to.
Finally, I shall end this post on a good note. I was going through that text file I mentioned earlier, and I found a great birthday letter to me that I’d forgotten about. I remember the feeling I had when I received it two years ago, and it makes me grin. I just think it’s really cool that someone would think of me in that way.
Dear Scott,
On this day that is your birthday, I thought I would write you a note to remind you as to why you are one of my best friends and favorite people that walk this planet.
You are amazingly patient with me, and many people that surround you. You let me make my social faux pas, and then listen to me sort through them. You never yell, or judge, or tell me that I’m so wrong it’s sick.
You drive to the ends of the earth and back, just to make a person smile. You don’t know how many times I’ve wondered what I would do with out someone else in my life willing to do stuff like that, not to mention the fun we’ve had because of those little expeditions.
You make me think.
You taught me how to play three d tic tac toe, (though the last time I played, i still got whooped)
You introduced me to Pizza House.
You have introduced to me to many of the cool people I know now.
You remind me that there are not so typical males in the world on a regular basis, and that is a good thing, because I’ll get caught up in my annoyance with them, and you come along and gently remind me otherwise.
I trust you completely (even if you do have naked pictures of me). You’re one of the people I feel safest around. Not just emotionally, but physically too. I always feel better knowing that you’d be intimidating to any one harassing me.
That’s just a start.
So the point is, happy birthday, and I’m glad you’re in my life!
Love,
Diana

We’re ALL glad you’re in our lives, Scoot. :D
WIDDLY WAAAHHH!
