Holy crap

I now have a 1 TB external drive. It’s almost bigger than my work
laptop and is almost certainly heavier than it. I’ve never seen an
external drive this friggin’ huge… but man is it sweet.

I won’t even say the things I could do with it. I tell you what though
– I’m not flying with it. It’s staying in town, and I’ll be using it
primarily as long-term storage.

But wow.

Also, the new laptop was presented to me by Trase, my own personal Tech
Support Ninja. Yeah, it’s got a hemi 4 gigs of RAM.

  2. 4 Gig of RAM, installed by Trase. That is pretty cool. What proc and OS are you running in it?

    Also, did Trase get a much deserved promotion at work? Last I heard, she was the Helpdesk Hellion, now she’s Tech Support Ninja. That definitely sounds like an upgrade in status.

    After that she can aspire to be a Network Ninja, and finally a Unix or Security Guru.

    • I’m sure she must have gotten a promotion. XP’s the corporate standard. Processor was middle of the road – which is fair, since it also has a 512 meg video card. Far more important for run-of-the-mill video editing.

      • In that case, I’m hot-rodding my Thinkpad T60 with Linux or *BSD, just to keep it in the game. It’s the cheapest upgrade I can afford right now.
