How does one apply Fair Use when aquiring material is illegal?

An Important (musical) Message

You know, I don’t have any HD players or discs. I don’t think I’ve watched anything truly “HD” anyway. I do, however, hate the fact that “Fair Use” has been destroyed, legally speaking, due to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.

Unrelatedly, I’m annoyed at LJ – I wanted it to substitute placeholders for any images over 640×480, and instead it makes placeholders for EVERY image, no matter how small. Grrrrr.

  1. The size only works if the img tag has the width and height explicitly defined. Otherwise it hides everything.

    I still use it though, because it’s nice being able to choose the pictures I actually want to look at.
