Day Watch
I’m going to see Day Watch, which has been billed by a friend (I guess that doesn’t make sense when you think of where ‘billed’ comes from) as a “Russian Sci-Fi vampire movie” that takes place in Moscow. Apparently, it’s the top selling movie in post-soviet Russia, and came highly recommended by the friend who just saw it.
Anyway, it’s the sequel to Night Watch, and they’re both about a medieval pact between a “light side” and a “dark side” that have representatives keep watch over each other while the other sleeps.
It’s playing today at the Main Art in Royal Oak at 6:40p today – I’ll be seeing it with a few people, anyone’s welcome to join us.

See it in A2 on friday.
:) Have you read the books?
No ma’am!
Very Cool. What’s odd, is that Night Watch the Movie is only the first out of three stories in the Night Watch book….Day Watch the Movie, sounds like a mash up of the second 2 stories out of both the Night/Day Watch books….
I can’t wait, the third one is out in English later this year.
We just got Night Watch on Netflix. It was pretty frickin’ amazing. Afterward, I wondered how I never watched it before.
Really? Dang. Too bad I don’t have time to see the first one before I go.
Now I really wish that I hadn’t watched the trailer.
Nothing can live up to that!
That’ll teach you. I haven’t!
‘ant to seeeeeee it!
