Day Watch

I’m going to see Day Watch, which has been billed by a friend (I guess that doesn’t make sense when you think of where ‘billed’ comes from) as a “Russian Sci-Fi vampire movie” that takes place in Moscow. Apparently, it’s the top selling movie in post-soviet Russia, and came highly recommended by the friend who just saw it.

Anyway, it’s the sequel to Night Watch, and they’re both about a medieval pact between a “light side” and a “dark side” that have representatives keep watch over each other while the other sleeps.

It’s playing today at the Main Art in Royal Oak at 6:40p today – I’ll be seeing it with a few people, anyone’s welcome to join us.

  1. See it in A2 on friday.
:) Have you read the books?

    • No ma’am!

      • Very Cool. What’s odd, is that Night Watch the Movie is only the first out of three stories in the Night Watch book….Day Watch the Movie, sounds like a mash up of the second 2 stories out of both the Night/Day Watch books….
I can’t wait, the third one is out in English later this year.

  2. We just got Night Watch on Netflix. It was pretty frickin’ amazing. Afterward, I wondered how I never watched it before.

  3. Now I really wish that I hadn’t watched the trailer.

Nothing can live up to that!

  4. ‘ant to seeeeeee it!
