novapsyche posted a link to an article in Slate consisting of two excerpts from the book The Economics of Marriage, and I really enjoyed reading it. It covers rational trends in modern society based on the pill, education and marriage, and divorce.
If you check it out, be sure to read the second excerpt/page, because I found that even more fascinating. I’ll not try to lay it out right now, just go read.
