I care a lot (dnn dnn dnn)!

Please reply with a memory you have of me, good or bad, if it’s at all important to you or to how you perceive me, I’d like to hear it.

  1. The only two times I can recall specifically are the bonfire in back of Spencer’s and Trase & George’s wedding. Every time I see you, you seem to be smiling from ear to ear. If Buddha were white, he’d look like you.

    • Heh, what good is life if you don’t notice the funny parts?

You know what they say, “Rub buddha’s belly, you get your wish – rub lower, and he get his.”

That, erm, doesn’t apply to you. :D

  2. I have a few that come to mind.
I remember you rubbing my ridiculously smelly feet that night at the hospital when they gave me the IV for my absess.

I remeber driving out to Penn to see Katrina, and stopping to take pictures at an abandoned gas station.

And I remember that day that started out at Rose Lake and ended up exploring that old golf course.

  3. I remember sitting on the sofa with you for an entire day. It was the day after my birthday party, I think, and you came back to pick up something you left here and ended up spending the whole day hanging out and talking. THAT was a very good day.

    • That seems to happen a lot. ;) You can talk as much as I do, which might be trouble for everyone else, if we weren’t both seeing talkers.

  4. I remember totally mugging you in one of the stairwells at Penguicon and
visiting a monster hug upon you from behind. Most people in this world
would have reacted along the lines of “Hey, WTF?” but you were just like
    “Oh, hi! Howya doin’?” =)

    • Yeah, monster hugs and PenguiCon are not only no surprise, but somewhat expected – if I didn’t get random tackles, it wouldn’t be a fun convention for me!

  5. Probably that I’ve met you more often on line (here and IQC) than I have in person. (city club)

  6. I remember, way back in the day, hanging out with you at SK and Angie’s apartment in Lansing. It might have been the first time we’d met, or shortly after. You showed us some videos and pictures on your (to me) god-like widescreen laptop.

  7. I remember that time you said “Please reply with a memory you have of me, good or bad, if it’s at all important to you or to how you perceive me, I’d like to hear it.” ooh and that time we were walking up Leonardo Leonardo’s Tower with a rope and potted plant fell and you said “Why are we walking like this?”

  8. I almost killed you by blowing into the innards of a computer filled with cat hair. Good times!

    • It is the surest sign of my stalwart friendship that I did not run from the room, screaming like a little girl.

  9. I remember the day you spontaneously drove to Lansing, picked me up and took me to a hotel for the night with a hot tub that was missing a plug, so I had to hold my hand over it. You were trying to help me feel sexy, and I was a total crab, but it really meant a lot to me, once I emerged from my temporary numbness of those months.

I remember buying new sandals and losing them a day later when we crashed the canoe. I was incredulous! I’d totally do it again.

  10. Those first few conversations through LJ and on IM had a great impact on me, you instantly struck me as someone I could trust.

    That and chinese food on Jane’s deck… {{grin}}

  11. It’s more of a stream of memories. Leading Lucy along in her rope corset, inhaler borrowing, rambling conversations at our house… All fine things.

(And in about an hour, I’ll go “D’OH! what the hell was I thinking! The best memory ever, that I always think about, is…”)

  12. two things immediately came to mind:

    1. you driving me home from IPM because i was way too drunk to drive and was being stupid over a stupid boy. i think i babbled at you the entire drive, and i vaguely recall you making sure i got in the door before driving away.

    and

    2. you dropping me on the floor at Luna. i’ll NEVER forget that *grin*

  13. My clearest memory of you actually is a slightly drunken memory – of meeting you in person at Penguicon. I remember thinking that you were an interesting person to talk to and particularly clever, and I still very much think that.

  14. I remember when we first met at Penguicon 3.0, when Chuck had first really gotten into Open Cola, and I was doing my first run as Mistress of Room Parties.

That was when I formed my first true impression of you as the most friendly, intelligent, curious, intuitive person I had ever met at con before. I have met such people in other situations, but never felt truly comfortable talking to them. You have a way of making people feel right at home when talking to you that I immediately thought was fantastic.

Also, I really appreciated the way you encouraged Chuck and I to pursue our chosen roles within Penguicon. You just seem in general to really think about how you effect others and try to make that a positive thing as often as possible. I really admire that.

    • Wow, thank you. I’m glad I had such a good effect on you. :D

I’m glad you two have stuck with Pcon, it’s been good for it, for sure.

  15. aaaaand suddenly I feel nostalgic and sad. I don’t want my best moments with you to be memories. I want them to be later this year, and two years from now, and etc.

That said, push-starting yoru truck in Traverse city certainly does stand out, as do a couple late nights talking in your car, once before a first-run movie, and once just when you needed to talk. I hope you continue to call on me sometimes when you want to talk, even if I’m not generally as much of a talker or a night person. :)

    • *grins* Best so far. If you come to perfect the art of forward-stalgia, please let me know. ;)

*kotc* But you’re so cute when you’re pumkin’d!

  16. I remember you calling me and asking how wide the door was to my house. Still makes me laugh, and the Stay Puff costume is still my favorite!

  17. At Pizza House, making badges for sKennCon.

  18. Has anyone said SkennCon yet? ’cause I don’t wanna be silly and say it again… I might have to give away more stickers. And I still haven’t found them.

  19. I have to pick just one?

    ONE?!

    I think I might die!

    Dinners.

Every, all, and to be had in the future, dinners.

  20. My favorite memory will probably be the two of us struggling to get my bed frame out of the apartment building… it shows her persistent we both are!

  21. I remember the night I first met you. We were at City Club. I pulled Sarah Kate aside to tell her that you were the first guy she’d been with since I’d known her that I approved of. I’m not sure if she ever even told you what I said.

    • Awww, that’s sweet. :) I’d love to say that she did, but I wouldn’t remember, anyway, so I’ll have to ask her. ;)
