If someone out there could make it happen sooner rather than later, I’d be awfully grateful.

Reading Vinge’s “Rainbow’s End” and Gibson’s “Spook Country” back-to-back is really messing with me, in a sense. They both cover ‘enhanced reality’, a way, way cooler concept than Virtual Reality ever was. “Rainbow” hits it from the future, where contact lenses are powered by the heat of your body, while Spook Country covers what is almost essentially present tech. (So far. I’m not done.)

Anyway, not like the rest of you weren’t entirely clear on it, but I’m hot for it. This concept of layered virtuality on top of reality, GPS-coordinated, with public and private layers of varying content? Want. It.
