A good weekend on all counts

From Penguicon Hand-off Party

… ‘cept not seeing my sweetheart, who was taking care of a surgery patient at 7:30 every morning this weekend.

Besides that, I went to the Penguicon wrap-up/transition party, which seemed to go remarkably well. I was inspired by how much got done while partying – it seemed like no matter when I ran into rbradakis (our new Con chair), he was taking care of business in some way.

I had been “volunteered” to do something again this year, and I escaped it handily by volunteering for something else. … what was that? Y’mean … shit.

Oh well. Free food, rock band, good conversation, and time spent with people I don’t see often enough. Thumbs up, all around.
