Wedding Photography
Also also wik, Lucy and I are trying to spare some time to consider our wedding. One of the things on the list is, naturally, photography.
Being someone who does photography makes me a pretty annoying critic, on occasion. I’m interested in a photographer who is more interested in documenting our day with style and artistry than in someone who wants to set up an incredible fantasy. We’re social people (okay, I’m social people and she’s happy to let me lug her along ;D), and I think some of our best and sweetest moments are amongst our friends.
Many of my friends are photographers or know photographers. If you know someone in the Michigan area who you think might fit that idea, please let me know, and I’ll check out their work.
Thanks!

I cannot speak highly enough of Greg and Jennifer at Croft & Campbell Photography. They did the photojournalism thing for our day and Ger and I adore our shots. I’ve never dealt with a supplier that was as willing to roll with whatever we had going on (and make really insightful suggestions that imply they “get” us) before, and it was brilliant. Oh, and Greg is a geek :)
Yeah, I have to say I was pretty impressed with the shots from Jer and Ger’s
wedding. I also really like
Curt O’Neil‘s work, but he’s
local to me; somewhat less so to you. =)
Mark Moore has done the photography for most of the people I know from faire who have gotten married and from the pictures I have seen does a wonderful job of capturing the personality of the kind of crazy people some of us are and has taken some of the most beautiful shots I have seen.. not sure if my favorites from the albums are up on his site http://www.pbase.com/lazuras/weddingportfolio
Well, I have to do the corporate family plug – Julie at Mike Staff Productions is really good, and I’m not saying that just because she & I work for the same company. I’ve seen some of the finished product, and it’s great stuff. That and she’s easy to work with.
I can also second Mark Moore’s nomination. Great guy, great photographer. You won’t go wrong here either.
IMHO, and having worked with many, those would be my recommendations.
So I have to ask…how are you set for a DJ? ;-)
