Holidays and birthdays and such, oh my
My mom always asks me to write up a list of things I want for the holidays and such, so I’ve done so. I’m a little reluctant to make it public, as I don’t expect anything from my friends ‘cept maybe a friendly greeting around christmastime, but it might be useful to folks, so there ya go.
I did a bit of research on some of the electronic stuff – for instance, I found a high-quality sound bluetooth headset that is optionally STEREO (important for us hard-of-hearing folk) that’s going for insanely cheap on amazon, and a pretty inexpensive 5.1 system to replace mine that died years ago.
I’ve never had the heart to throw out the actual speakers, haha. I bought that thing the same day Halo 2 was released, and I still remember flipping up my bed so Ben and I could sit in a proper surround-sound environment.
Lucy came to visit me today on her day off. We only had a few hours to spend together, but it was great to have dinner and cuddle up for a bit before she went home. Since our weekends aren’t at all guaranteed, it’s great when we can see each other midweek.
