Refine Selection Edge!!
Auto Align layers based on pixel content!!
SMART filters that are nondestructive, alpha channeled, and adjustable
anytime later?!
I think I need to change my pants.
(conversely, my first reaction to the smart filters was “FINALLY!”)
There is video of these wondrous features being demonstrated at the
layers magazine web site.

Today’s battle is whether her daughter can have a friend over. And
about boys. At least this time she hasn’t (yet) said that all boys have
evil intentions.
Meanwhile, uhm, apparently someone left… lotion in the bathroom
stall. Poor guy’s skin must’ve been so dry, he had to keep it moist
while in the can!

It’s so annoying when a software application says, “Import a .MOD file? NO WAY! WTF is this??”. Cue the slumped shoulders. Then, an idea – rename to “.MPG”. Said software package (Premiere Pro) suddenly perks up and says, “WELL then! Why didn’t you say so? Mpeg and I are old friends!” Why the fuck do I need to play this game?
I wonder if there’s any way I could mod the damned thing to just pretend they’re .MPG files in the first place.
Also, this is what happens when you’re testing camera equipment at 1 in the morning:

Consider yourself warned.

“If you aren’t telling someone the truth, you’re not allowing them to make decisions based on reality. That is, in my opinion, the worst thing you can do to someone.”
My friend mink made this comment in another journal today, so I wanted to put it here for reference. It’s something I try to consider all of the time. It can be exhausting and really painful sometimes – many times, being straightforward isn’t appreciated for the compassion behind it – it’s so easy to hear words that reveal unhappy facts and presume callousness or inconsideration.
Which is a great word, I might have just made it up.
It kind of reminds me of the halfway-amusing irony of the perceived weakness in intentionally opening oneself up to the potential slings and arrows of outrageous heartbreak (sorry, sometimes words get away from me). When one takes a deep breath and steps off the cliff– knowing, accepting, grokking the entire range of consequences (not simply faith in the best outcome), that’s bravery and strength.
It’s a well-considered risk.

Listen up, folks:
This table is hotter than any porn. It’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. If I had one, I’d spend half the day just … opening and closing it. If I had smaller dinner parties, I’d purposefully leave it open so I had an excuse to close it when they arrived. I’d polish it daily, maybe, with a baby diaper.
I think awesome design and super-keen usability are just so entirely awesome. Now, don’t just look at the image below – you MUST watch the video. It’s a Moral Imperative. *nods Very Seriously* I think I need a towel.

I now know why the crazy sec lady (CSL, from now on) is divorced.
No, I don’t mean I’ve suddenly gotten an insight into why she’s crazy.
I mean I literally know, because she she was chatting about it on
the phone, right next to me.

This is for my homies, who’ll shit themselves and run screaming from the room when they hear it. ;) Don’t worry, it’s cool, just clean it up when you’re done.
