“Sir, can I go home?”
•May 9, 2008 • 6 Comments“No, I’m not sick, as such. See, I was just rereading my girlfriend’s journal, and I need to go home and make out with her while she’s still there. You understand, right?”
Sadly, my boss isn’t even here. For once, I’m getting out at 5 on a Friday, but Lucy will be on her way back to Lansing by then, and I have a meeting at 7, which leaves me with a few hours to wander around the east side beforehand.
Anyone want to catch an early dinner?

I knew I was in for a good morning when I offered her my lap, and she took the floor instead. Hmmmm…
Of course that meant I left for work late, and sacrificed making a lunch. Oh, a worthy sacrifice it was, but now I’m hunting around my cube for snackies to tide me over until I get home to my favorite snack. If you know what I mean.
And I think you do.
*ahem*
’cause it’s my girlfriend.
I stepped right into a meeting when I got here, an hour and a half discussing the hardware and software for the editing suite / control room here at work. I’m glad I was there, as we had the vendor present, and I was able to stand up for my vested interests – after all, I’m the one who is (theoretically) going to be using this crap, yeah?
I’m really getting sick of fast food, to go back to food for a second. I’ve had way too much of it in the past few weeks.

•May 7, 2008 • 16 CommentsRachael Dawes is annoying for reasons beyond the actress who plays her. The kiss in the end? Totally stolen. “Oh! When I heard you were back, I started to think about us! *smooooooch!* But… no.”
It couldn’t have been the kiss, her nipples are totally erect in that silk shirt.
Protected: I’m totally drained today. Stayed up a mite late.

Srsly. This rock band thing without downloadable content? So lame. Harmonix blames it directly on the lack of storage space on the Wii. Let’s get that fixed, eh?
EDIT: Well, I guess they did. Sorta.
MTV Games, Harmonix, and EA will be releasing the Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 for the PS2 and the Wii on July 15th. $29.99 at your local game purveyor nets you an additional 20 songs for the game, chosen from the DLC already available on the PS3 and 360. It’s an okay mix I suppose, with some of my favorites – NIN’s “March of the Pigs”, Faith No More’s “We Care A Lot”, and Weezer’s “Buddy Holly”, but I much prefer being able to pick and choose my songs rather than be handed a chunk all at once. – Full List
Highly flexible circadian rhythm: blessing or curse?
•May 5, 2008 • 8 CommentsI took my time getting up yesterday (after the huge PenguiCon hand-off Party) and spent the entire day puttering around at home by myself. For some reason I was having one of “those” days, because Matilda was on TV while I was doing laundry, and I totally needed a tissue: “She’s just so plucky and indomitable! *blinkblink*”
The Wii scared me for a minute – I haven’t turned it on since before I left for Vegas, and it was awfully hesitant about playing Smash Bros, but a few careful reinsertions and we were back in business (you boys know what I mean, amiright?). I violated my cardinal rule by ordering Pizza for One, but it was lunch! If I ate it all in one day, that’d just be Dinner! (I didn’t, thank you)
My place needs some serious cleaning and organizing – some asshole just keeps piling my mail up on my work table, as if that is an appropriate way to handle sensitive documents. I think that same asshole has let the sink get out of control, too.
As it turns out, I may have the time for that today – my boss called me from his big-ass all-day meeting today, and he asked me to do some stuff I can totally do from home, so I am staying here for the day. I was pretty much dressed for work though, so I’m going to hit up the Tim Horton’s before I start my day, ’cause I went to bed at 3 (like a dumb-ass, for no good reason) and me ass is draggin’.
