So last night I was thinking that I’d like to provide the music I was posting the lyrics to, and decided to make a little photo-montage-thingy. So I did so, and promptly sat there blinking back tears in the face of my own handiwork.
Of course, I was either taking the picture or in every single photo, so I don’t expect others to be as taken with it as I am. I squeezed in as many people I wanted to thank as I could, but of course had to stop when the song was over. ;)
Anyway, my evil scheme of uploading it to a server from my home pc so I could crunch it from work on the work laptop has not been hitchless, so I’ll have to crunch and upload it when I get home. :)

Once a year or so, I try to post this song. I write about it again every year, because it’s so important to me not to forget. One brief touch (or long hug), one brief phone call can mean so much; to myself, to others.
Sometimes, you need great help; sometimes, you just need to talk, and have someone else really listen.
And then, sometimes you just need someone to be present – not to ask questions, but to comfort.
To anyone who has ever been there for me, or allowed me to be there for you: Thank you. I wouldn’t be who I am without you.

netmouse has offered her place up for a Firefly marathon on the 4th of July! I’ll edit this post with the time once we know it, but we figure we’d celebrate that way early, and then if the weather pans out, go to the Great Oak gathering for fireworks. If not, hey, we’ve already got something to do!

Yesterday was a really great Friday. trasenstine and I got together with astaria66 for dinner at a place called El Charros (hey! I forgot I have it in the fridge! WINNER!), and we totally closed the place. Trase and I thought for a second that we saw our waitress leaving as -we- were leaving. *snort*
It was outrageous fun, and a great way to spend the evening. Next time, I might go a little easy on the lime-ade, though, I wouldn’t want to be seen as a teetotaler. ;)
Today’s a mixed bag. Laundry to do, mexican to reheat (hehe), and either A) I’ll be visiting Lucy at her summer camp in Fenton, or B) I’ll be visiting Ari and peeps in Lansing. Only time will tell which comes to fruition…
I might even, if time permits, stretch and work out a bit. Or work on my wood, wink wink nudge nudge.

Speaking of which, who of you hasn’t watched the space western comedy etc that is Firefly? Should I have people over for that?
